Ryan S. Thomas grew up in Belmont, New Hampshire, where experiences from his childhood would eventually inspire his first book, Cloud and Shadow. From an early age, Ryan learned what it felt like to be different, to question where you belong, and to discover that the things that make us different can also become some of our greatest strengths.

Ryan earned his B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire in 2000, where he was deeply involved in student life, leadership, and campus activities. That same year, he married his college sweetheart, and together they have a daughter, born in 2004.

After college, Ryan pursued a career in entrepreneurship, real estate, and the mortgage industry. Over the past 26 years, he has built and operated businesses, worked with thousands of clients, and developed a career centered around sales, relationships, leadership, and helping people achieve their goals. Along the way, he has also been involved in public speaking, coaching, community organizations, and philanthropic endeavors.

But throughout his career, one passion never went away: writing.

Today, Ryan is returning to that passion and beginning a new chapter as an author. Cloud and Shadow is his first book, but it will not be his last. His future writing will span a variety of subjects and audiences, including children’s literature, inspirational and personal-growth books, educational books, and practical insights drawn from his decades of experience in sales, business, and entrepreneurship. He is also working on his autobiography, sharing the experiences, challenges, lessons, and turning points that shaped the person he became.
